Care is provided by a dedicated and well trained team of care staff. Maintenance, Housekeeping, Catering staff are very much a part of our team and are included in training sessions, meetings and decision making. Supporting the managers are the Senior team all of whom have a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care:

  • There are 2 lounges: one is for those who have higher level needs and offers sensory experiences.
  • There is a dining room where most residents have their meals. However, we can provide meals in their room if they prefer. We can also provide help at meal times.
  • Most bedrooms have en-suite facilities and all have TV points. All look out onto the gardens and open countryside.
  • A courtyard provides a sheltered place to sit on a warm day.
  • The home is centrally placed in 5 acres of landscaped grounds.
  • There is a lift and all areas are wheelchair accessible.
  • Car for excursions and appointments.
Visitors are welcome any time and will be given a warm welcome and offered refreshments.

We place a high priority on offering a stimulating environment helping residents pursue their past interests or learn new ones. Activities and social interaction has been proved to improve the quality of life of residents particularly those who have dementia.

Fun and laughter are key ingredients and helping to keep the residents active in body and mind.

  • There are Special events throughout the year including – Easter Tea, Summer Garden Party, Christmas party and other themed events. Friends and family come and enjoy good food and entertainment with their loved ones.
  • Activities include – singing and music, art & crafts, exercise sessions, games, cooking, reminiscence, gardening and flower arranging, beauty care.
  • 1:1 time is spent with residents chatting, reminiscing, out for a walk or going for an outing in the car.
  • Entertainers and instructors come into the home to do yoga, games, singing, exercises and shows.
  • Helping support staff with meaningful activities around the house such as dusting, laying tables, folding washing. is encouraged.
In the morning and afternoon we try to ensure that for about 20 minutes staff stop to have their coffee or tea break with the residents.

Our dedicated catering team prepares home cooked traditional food catering for special diets and personal preferences. Food , if possible is sourced locally and is freshly prepared. Meal times are an important part of a resident’s day and should be a relaxed sociable time. We ensure that there is a:

  • Choice at meal times
  • Special diets are catered for
  • Homemade cakes and in between snacks, beverages are always available
  • A Dietician helps us with special needs in a resident’s diet.
  • Assistance for those who require help and specialist utensils if needed
  • Opportunity to eat with family
